Used and reconditioned stairlifts are the same thing in our world — every used unit goes through our refurbishment process before we let it leave the workshop. Nothing is sold as-is. We've been doing this long enough to know that a stairlift sold cheaply with no real prep work is a guaranteed call-out within weeks. That helps nobody.
Our used stock comes from three sources: lifts we've removed from previous customers (often as part-exchanges on new installations), units we've bought back when customers no longer needed them, and lifts we've sourced from trusted suppliers across the UK. Every one is checked against the manufacturer's service schedule, with worn parts replaced and consumables refreshed.

For straight staircases we usually have stock available for immediate installation — call us, describe your stairs, and we can often quote a fitted price the same day with installation within 48 to 72 hours. For curved staircases, used units offer good value but the rail needs to match your specific stair geometry — we'll honestly tell you whether one of our refurbished curved rails will fit.
Used isn't the same as untested. Every lift gets a 30-point bench inspection, full safety check, new or tested battery cells, and a written record of what was done to it. You get exactly the same handover, demonstration, removal of any old lift and after-sales support as a new buyer.
