We've been installing, repairing and servicing stairlifts in Kensington since 2009 — including Notting Hill, South Kensington, Holland Park, Earl's Court, Knightsbridge and the wider area around Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum, Kensington Gardens and Portobello Road. Free home assessment, fixed written quote, fitted within the week.
Kensington is home to many of London's most impressive period staircases — substantial Georgian and Victorian townhouses where bespoke curved installation is the norm. Our engineers know the borough well — we've fitted lifts in homes across Notting Hill, South Kensington, Holland Park, Earl's Court, Knightsbridge, plus the streets around Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum, Kensington Gardens and Portobello Road. That local knowledge matters: surveying a Victorian terrace takes a different approach to a 1930s semi or a mansion flat, and we bring the right tools and the right options to every visit.
For most Kensington customers we recommend starting with a free home assessment. A local engineer visits, measures your stairs to the millimetre, asks about who'll be using the lift, and produces a fixed written quote covering everything — unit, rail, installation, removal of any existing stairlift, full handover and a 12-month warranty as standard.
Whatever your situation in Kensington — new installation, urgent repair, annual service or removal of an old unit — we cover it.
Fitted within 5 working days, from £1,995 fully installed.
Bespoke rails for L-shape, U-shape and half-landing staircases. 4–6 weeks from survey.
Refurbished units from £1,295 with full 12-month warranty.
Weatherproof units for front-door steps and garden access.
Same-day call-outs on every major brand. Most resolved first visit.
From £79 with priority cover for contract customers.
Once you've chosen your unit, we book installation around your schedule. For most straight stairlifts in Kensington, fitting takes 2 to 3 hours — no drilling into walls, no structural alterations. The rail bolts directly to the treads of the staircase.
Curved stairlifts take longer (typically half a day) because the rail is more complex. We arrive with the unit already cut to your staircase, fit the carriage, configure the safety sensors and calibrate the swivel seat. You receive a written record of the installation along with the manufacturer warranty in your name.
A lot of our work in Kensington isn't new installations — it's repairs and servicing on units originally fitted by other companies. We work on every major brand (Stannah, Acorn, Handicare, Brooks, Bruno), carry common parts on every van, and charge a fair fixed price for diagnosis. Most call-outs are resolved on the first visit, often the same day.
For Kensington customers who depend on their lift daily, our annual service contracts (from £79) offer priority response and discounted parts.
Same-day emergency call-outs across every London borough — all brands repaired.

Real reviews from London families who've trusted us with their stairlift installation, repair or servicing.
"Came out the same day Mum's lift broke down — diagnosed the battery in five minutes and had a new one fitted the same afternoon. Genuinely helpful from the first phone call. Would absolutely recommend."
"From the home survey to the final handover the whole team were professional and patient. They walked Dad through the controls three times until he was confident. The curved rail is beautifully made and the install was spotless."
"We chose the reconditioned option because of the price and we honestly cannot tell it isn't brand new. Saved nearly £1,500 versus the quote from the original manufacturer. Engineer was lovely with my mother and explained everything."
